That's right, D&F-ers. It's time for another installment of Bobby Ruins Your Favorite TV Show. With the writer's being on strike, there hasn't been many new episodes of shows and, thus, nothing new to ruin. But praise Allah, the networks must have squirrelled away some gems, and they're ready to unleash them for our viewing displeasure.
This week's winner - Prison Break [Insert collective gasp here]. I'm sure there's plenty of people out there who will argue that Prison Break is a great show and certainly not worthy of being ruined. But let's look at this objectively - the premise of the show is that one brother gets himself sent to prison in order to break the other brother out. Novel concept - it would be great for a made-for-TV movie or miniseries, but not a show with more than one season. Trying to extend this beyond a 4-episode event is like trying to make a sequel to Titanic.
There's only two places you can go - the planning and subsequent execution of the prison break could take up multiple seasons - this may seem like a good idea to a brainless TV exec, but even the simplest of creatures would tire of the Never Ending Story meets Escape from Alcatraz; or you can break out of one prison in season 1, then somehow get one of the main characters back into prison, and then have him break out of that one for season 2. Guess which one the geniuses at Fox went with.

So here's what to expect on this season's Prison Break:
- Someone is in prison. They want to escape. I think this time, the brother that got sent to prison to rescue the other brother is the one who ends up being sent to prison this time. Got it? Oh, and it looks like they're in a foreign country. How exotic!
- Someone will die - maybe it's a minority. Who knows?
- There will be some sort of sexual tension between two or more of the characters.
And that concludes this week's installment of Bobby Ruins Your Favorite TV Show. As always, recommendations for future ruins are encouraged.
