TIVO Who?

It wasn't that long ago when one of the very popular authors of this blog gave his TIVO to an out of work, struggling graduate student sibling of his because his TIVO could not record more than one television show at a time. TIVO has since fixed that problem with their newer models, and cable company DVRs have been able to do it since they began offering the service.

I guess recording two shows at once is not acceptable. What happens when you want to watch Top Chef, and record The Office, 24, Lost, I Love New York, Seinfeld, Family Guy, Man vs. Wild, UnWrapped, American Gladiators, and Ninja Warrior? Did You Get a Free Bowl of Soup With Those Pants?

According to this story from ABC news a judge from Washington D.C. is suing a dry cleaner for $67 million. Why do you ask, did his child get hurt or mangled while in the store, or did he suffer some physical injury that will prevent him from doing his job? Not exactly according to the story the dry cleaners lost a pair of his favorite pants. The same pants he wanted to wear during his first day on the bench.

He says in court papers that he has endured "mental suffering, inconvenience and discomfort." He says he was unable to wear that favorite suit on his first day of work. He's suing for 10 years of weekend car rentals so he can transport his dry cleaning to another store.

What is even more absurd later in the story it mentions that the owners of the dry cleaners offered this man $12,000, but he would not budge. I guess you shouldn't mess with a Judge's pants. What's worse is that nobody was going to see his suit anyways, he is wearing a robe for God's sake.

One Dumb Owner

This story is making the rounds on the many news channels and Internet news sites. I found it via the drudgereport.com. As my previous post mentions, who doesn't love dogs? However, I guess there are extremes to everything. This couple loved their dog a little too much.
